CoreTrac Energy Solutions Limited (“CoreTrac”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of everyone who visits coretracenergy.com or gets in touch with us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and any other data-protection law that applies to you.
Who we are
CoreTrac is a Nigerian-incorporated, Nigerian-managed well-solutions company operating across Nigeria and Africa, with an operating base at Trans-Amadi Industrial Layout, Port Harcourt and commercial representation in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. For the purposes of the NDPA, CoreTrac is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
The information we collect
We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to run our business:
- Information you give us — when you complete our contact form or email us, we collect your name, your operator or company name, your email address, your telephone number, the solution you are interested in, and the details of the field and intervention objective you describe.
- Information collected automatically — like most websites, our servers and cookies record limited technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages and the pages you view. See our Cookie Policy for more.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not collect special-category data through this website.
How and why we use your information
We use your personal data to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare the feasibility brief or operating proposal you have asked for;
- deliver, administer and improve our services and our relationship with your organisation;
- maintain the audit-grade records our work and our industry require;
- keep our website secure and understand how it is used; and
- comply with our legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
Our lawful basis
Under the NDPA we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases when we process your data: your consent; the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; our legitimate business interests in responding to enquiries and operating CoreTrac; and compliance with a legal obligation.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with trusted service providers who host our systems or support our operations under confidentiality obligations, with professional advisers, and with regulators, courts or authorities where we are required to do so by law.
Storing and protecting your information
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside Nigeria — for example to a service provider — we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected to a standard consistent with the NDPA.
Your rights
Subject to the NDPA, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; to have it corrected or erased; to object to or restrict our processing; to data portability; and to withdraw any consent you have given. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Contact us
To exercise any of your rights, or if you have any question about this policy, contact us at info@coretracenergy.com or by post at our Port Harcourt operating base. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
